Kimberly D. Hill studies the intersections between African American Protestant missions work and racial justice activism during the Jim Crow era. Her current work focuses on Southern Presbyterian missionaries, YWCA and YMCA organizers, and the historically black colleges and universities affiliated with these leaders.
